Listen for the Joy Radio Program

Greetings to all my Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

In October of 2018, the Lord posed this question in my spirit, “What are you and your congregation doing to reach the community of God’s Chosen People, the Jews, with the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ?”  The Answer – “Not enough!”

This is not an insignificant question.  For Romans 11:11 clearly states, that it is for this reason that salvation came to the Gentiles: for to provoke them to jealousy.

“I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.” Romans 11:11 (KJV)

Now, the question arises, “Make them jealous of what?”  Our Education? Our Great Social Outreach Programs? Our Family Traditions? Our Great Financial Achievements?  No, No, No and No!  The one thing we have that they do not have is “The Joy of Salvation!”

So, how should we as the Church respond when the author of Psalm 51:8a cries out “Make me to hear joy and gladness;”?  We must share the Gospel!  “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”  Romans 1:16 (KJV)

Therefore, on January 5, 2019, Good Shepherd Baptist Church, Grand Prairie, Texas will present the first episode of our Radio Program: 

Listen For The Joy 
Program’s Theme:  Encouraging God’s Children, To Reach God’s Chosen
This will be a Talk, Testimony, and Teaching Program with Live Call-ins.

There will be interviews with Believers both, Jew and Gentile. Through the Testimonies of our guests and Teaching of the Word, we hope to unlock the reservoirs of Joy stored in the hearts of our redeemed listeners. Joy that is audible! Joy that is tangible! Joy that touches the very hearts, minds, and most importantly, the spirit of God’s Children encouraging them to reach out to God’s Chosen People with the Gospel Message. Also, we pray that when (not, if) someone in the Jewish community happens upon this program, they will Listen for the Joy and believe!

Listen For The Joy will be broadcast on KGGR 1040AM (Great Gospel Radio), a Christian urban radio station located in the Dallas/Fort Worth (TX) Metroplex.  KGGR’s format is predominantly Gospel Music and Preaching.
